Client reacts to a damaging admission

When I wrote the $1000 sales letter, my client was torn.

The reason why is that the info product I was writing a sales letter for was actually something they'd given away for free before, but it had become such a comprehensive resource that it seemed crazy to continue giving it away.

They were so worried about monetising after building up so much goodwill with their audience that they genuinely debated whether or not it was ok to sell to them.

(An unfortunately all too common scenario, where a creator builds an audience with value and backs themselves into a corner when it comes to their business. Essentially, they have created an online charity filled with freebie seekers… but that's an email for another day.)

I don't come from the school of thought that you should be held hostage by freebie seekers.

Sure, if you sell… some people are gonna unsubscribe. But they were never going to buy anything anyway, so all you were doing was padding your ego by having one more subscriber and paying for them to be on your list. No bueno.

The client was even debating whether to add more new modules to the course to make it feel like it was now worth selling…

If u can think of new modules for me to add lmk

Bc I did used to give for free

Painful to watch.

Here's what I recommended we do instead.

I said we should own it, be honest, and use it in the sales letter as a 'damaging admission', a technique used to turn a weakness of your product into a strength:

If you don't want to add to the course, I've used that you gave it for free as a damaging admission:

However, a word of warning:

Even though I could have charged $300-500+ for the info in this course…

I used to give away all of this knowledge for free.

If paying for something that used to be free bothers you, then I suggest checking out the 1000+ videos I've made to help you crush acting school instead.

Otherwise, to help you decide, here's a 'sneak preview' of what's inside:

(which leads into the bullets).

To which the client replied:

F*ck yes!!!

No extra work for the client, prospect trust levels increased, crisis averted.

That's just one example of the techniques used inside '$1000 sales letter for $10'.

If you want to steal all of them for yourself and get 'f*ck yes!!!' client reactions to your own sales letters?
