You're working too hard and it's damaging your biz
Hot take:
Being lazy is better for your business than being a hustler.
Now, that might seem absurd, given the corner of the internet you likely found me from. But I want you to think about solopreneurship as a concept.
One person. One business. No employees. You'd think that being lazy would be a death sentence, right? If you're being lazy... then who's moving the ball forward?
You're right, but also dead, dead wrong.
See, and I mean this with a little disrespect... most of what you see people working on as solopreneurs is a glorified hobby. They tinker with their little projects, and they feel good about themselves.
"I'm working on my business - I'm making progress! If I can figure this out, I'll live the life of my dreams!"
Now, I'm not the kind of guy who'll shyt in your cornflakes, but I will shoot straight. They've taken their employee mindset and applied it to their business. Work = good. More work = more good. Because when you're paid a salary, you could be working on things that absolutely do not make the business any money - and your paycheck still lands in your account.
That's where being lazy comes in.
Have you ever worked with someone in your career who always seems to be doing sweet FA... But for some reason, they never fire the son of a beach? Well, 9 times out of 10, it's because they know exactly what to work on and what doesn't actually matter.
So if right now you're working 8 hours for your boss, then heading home to work until the small hours on your business or for your clients? I'm telling you there's an easier and, yes, lazier way.
You could wake up, write an email in less than 10 minutes, and then go and do whatever you want.
Will you be able to do it straight away? No, especially if you're still working for the man. But imagine knowing that by 09:00 you'd already handled bizzness, giving you back evenings with friends or family.
