Monkey say, but monkey no do
I know this is hard to believe, but I've been posting on Twitter for 2 years.
In that time, I've seen people arrive, declare their commitment, slow down, pivot, stall, leave, return, pivot again, and then quit. I've seen those who show up daily but flip-flop again and again about their direction. "Should I be a fitness guy, or a parenting guru..." I've seen guys burst onto the scene, do numbers, and then quit because it stopped being so easy, and they got bored...
People are SOFT AS BABY SHYT. They can't show up for themselves for any extended period of time. They can't keep the ember of a dream flickering deep inside for YEARS while they have to do what they have to do to survive.
If you're feeling called out - good. It means you have the self-awareness to perhaps have a chance at changing.
It's why, over the past couple of years, I've gravitated towards email. Boring, unsexy... Ol' reliable. Writing daily will filter out most. Writing something entertaining and educational daily? That's thin air, boys.
There are many ways for your emails to be more engaging, entertaining, and make more sales. Some of them I've used in this very email.
But it all begins with having the patience and commitment to write an email every day.
